I'm delighted to report that the first IT in Action event (presented by Open Horizons) hit Scotland today for the first time ever, at the John McIntyre Conference Centre in Edinburgh. Amongst the sessions were presentations on Identity Manager 4, From SMTP to Novell Pulse, a live migration of NetWare to Linux (which went flawlessly!) as well as partner presentations from Novell, Messaging Architects, GWAVA and NDS8.
With the feedback we've got back so far, the desire is there for us to return north of the border, which we will hopefully be doing some time in the near future. As for now, the roadshow moves further south to Bletchley Park next Wednesday 7th July. There is still time to register, but places are going very quickly. To register, visit this page.
The content remains the same, and we hope to see you there! If not, registration has now opened for the UK Summit and Hot Labs on the 12th and 13th October at Horwood House in Milton Keynes. Go here to register for that event. |

Great news to share this week. I (Alex Evans, Novell) got a call from my counterpart at RIM
and they are releasing a public beta of their BES 5.0.1 for GroupWise.
We have been running 5.0.1 in house for a number of months as part of
the early adopter program, so we have been validating it against the
latest GroupWise agents. |
